Built in 1560 it was dubbed Cheney Palace after Lord Henry Cheney who built it. It has gone through different satges of maintenance throughout its history. Nevertheless, the Bowman-Shaws have sustained its grandeur along with the impressive gardens, of which they have painstakingly maintained. A Grade II listed building.
