One of the finest examples of Grade I Listed Houses, Lamport Hall was the home of the Isham family from 1560 to 1976. It was improved upon from a Tudor Manor and was completed in the 18th century. The hall has an impressive collection of books, furniture and paintings which were accumulated by the Isham family.
Now in the ownership of The Lamport Hall Trust; they have maintained the hall as well as its impressive gardens which contain several sycamores and cedars, herbaceous borders, rockery and the earliest Alpine garden in England that rises to around 24 feet.
