This beautiful truss bascule bridge was built in 1915 for the Atlantic Coast Line railroad. It's 500 feet long and was named after Gen. Lewis Cass, President Andrew Jackson's Secretary of War. It is one of several historically preserved bridges in the Tampa area and is still used by traffic. It spans the Hillsbourough River near the Performing Arts Center.
