Located on the banks of river Tambiraparani, this old forest rest house is known for its notorious monkeys which are consistently trying to sneak inside. A metal cage protects the visitors. Animal calls can be heard at night. Many years ago, there was a rope bridge (a 'Burma Bridge') across the river at this place. This was washed away during a year of exceptional flood.
