This building was constructed in 1935 as the Buckley's Pharmacy. Buckley was the brother of the man who invented Buckley's Mixture Cough Syrup. Over the years it has housed a hardware store, oriental gift shop and pub.
When the District of Wells incorporated in 1998 they leased the building to serve as the district offices. The historic building was renovated at that time.
