Kalagarh Dam also known as Ramganga Dam is situated on Ramganga Rivr. The penstock liner and Cylindrical Gate are made by Triveni Structurals Limited Naini Allahabad India. This dam is made by U P irrigation departmt First chief engineer was Mr Krishan Murai duration of construction 1963 - 1973.

    hi frndz, thiz iz Md. Mudassir, student of AMU. i m hail from Afzalgarh 15 km away from kalagarh. My small town is famous for its diversity and unity but since last three year (2008) we have been encountering the problem of flood. kalagarh dam releases the water due to heavy rain which result into destruction of life and property. we are also fearful regarding the expiry date of the dam. The door which control the water has almost damage. we kindly request to govt to pay attention on this so that any disruption could have been prevented

It supports a 198 MW power station and provides water for the irrigation of 57,500 ha (142,086 acres) of farmland. In addition, it provides for flood control and recreation. Construction on the dam began in 1961 and it was completed in 1974. The three generators in the power station were commissioned in December 1975, November 1976 and March 1977
