hotel, arts
A boutique hotel and arts venue, and popular nightspot established in 2004. Opened in 1890 as Small's Hotel, it was named the Drake Hotel in 1949, subsequently falling into disrepair in its later years as the neighborhood slumped. In 2001 it was purchased by Jeff Stober with a vision of re-designing the facility into a bohemian hot-spot. It has since become the focal point in the burgeoning Queen West West village and gateway to Parkdale to the west.
