Green's Garden Center, established in 1985, was bought out as part of the East Grand Forks flood protection project on June 30, 2002. On July 2, 2002 an accetaline torch used for demolition sparked a fire which destroyed 2 greenhouses and 2 buildings. The East Grand Forks Fire Department later used the site for fire training, which destroyed all but one of the remaining buildings. The last remaining building was demolished after the Flood of 2009.
