Farthest west of the major North-South bridges and viaducts over the Trinity. While it technically only connects the industrial district of Industrial and Irving Blvd's. with the residential and manufacturing areas of West Dallas, this bridge also represents the transition from Mockingbird Road, that part of the road north of I-35, to Westmoreland Ave., that portion south of I-35. Taken together these two roads not only cross much of Dallas proper, they form a single corridor from rural Ovilla, south of Dallas County, through Oak Cliff, West Dallas, Love Field, and Highland Park, before turning sharply east and terminating at the north end of White Rock Lake.
