The Famous Pampooran Para Church is Situated here. "Pampooran Para" Means "Pamp" means Snake "Odiya" Gone Through " Para " Means Rock.
History Says, St.George is Gone through this way on his horse,to kill the snake, and his Handkerhief fall down and he get down from horse and taken it.
On top of the rocks here, you can find, marks of Snake passage and a Horse Leg,Hand Kerchief and a Human Foot Print ( 12 Inch Size).
The festivals here starts here on 50 days Lent Period and there will be Mass and Kurisnta vazhi on all the Fridays on this time.
During Nalpatham Friday and Good Friday,you can find Thousands Of People comes here and and attend the Prayer meeting.
