The Birmingham House in Wylie was constructed in 1905 and is designated as a historic landmark. In 1989, the Birmingham Trust bought the house and set about restoring it to its original glory at a time when it was on the verge of being torn down. After two years of renovations the house received its historic site designation. It now serves as the office for the Ovid Birmingham Land Trust as well as a popular location for weddings and community gatherings.
