Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York is a preeminent independent graduate school of theology, located in Manhattan between Claremont Avenue and Broadway on 120th to 122nd Streets. The seminary was founded in 1836 under the Presbyterian Church, and is currently affiliated with the nearby Columbia University. The campus was designed by Allen & Collens with Louis E. Jallade. It was built with structural elements by the Guastavino Fireproof Tile Co.

The interior was used as a filming location for the Amazon series "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" S3E7 as Abe goes chasing after a colleague from the interior courtyard into the building and S3E3 of the Starz Network series "Power". It was also used for S3E12 of the USA Network series "White Collar" which utilized the interior and the courtyard for several scenes of a fictionalized prep school.
