Amtrak/SEPTA's North Philadelphia train station, along the Amtrak Northeast Corridor and SEPTA's Chestnut Hill West line.

The station has two sets of platforms: the first set consists of two island platforms and is served by Amtrak's Northeast Regional and Keystone trains, as well as SEPTA's Trenton line; the second set of platforms is served by SEPTA's Chestnut Hill West line and is located adjacent to the line's junction with the NEC.

The original station building was abandoned in the 1970s and sat vacant for many years before being renovated into a local business. Amtrak built a new station building on the north side of the tracks in the 1970s, but this has since been abandoned as well due to low ridership and the generally sketchy nature of the surrounding neighborhood.

There once existed a pedestrian tunnel connection between the original station building and the North Philadelphia station along the Broad Street Subway, but this was closed (and possibly severed) in the 1970s due to crime concerns.
