Cavender's Boot City (College Station, Texas)

Built as a short-lived Wolfe Nursery from about 1993 to 1998 (it probably stood more years empty than it was actually open), this became Cavender's Boot City (a Western wear store) in September 2004 after an extensive renovation of the building, and moving from Post Oak Square, where it had been in a smaller location impossible to see from Harvey. This was supposed to be the first tenant of "Wolf Pen Village", which would stretch down this side of Holleman. It never developed, however (partly recession, partly because Holleman was not suited to be a major retail district). The only development at Wolf Pen Village since then was in 2015, when Cavender's was expanded slightly to the south.
