This is the official name of this shopping center, which used to be called Culpepper Plaza. However, the name never really caught on. People either call it "Kohl's shopping center" most of the time. The old Culpepper Plaza's main anchor was AppleTree (originally Safeway) with a row of smaller stores going northwest. The AppleTree closed in 2002 (it was one of the last ones to go) and it was torn down (OfficeMax and Spec's are on the same footprint)

Most of the places are marked now (most unmarked spaces are in fact vacancies)

  • I think that "name" was a good idea. More businesses should take advantage of our city's history and use "station", as in train station, in their marketing. I would like to see a restaurant using restored train cars for seating areas. There are lots of possibilities.
