Neighborhood located in the extreme southern tip of the city of Zaporizhia. Housing estate is made up of blocks with numbers from one to five, buildings formed panel houses high 9 floors. There are also single brick buildings (up to 16 floors). Construction of the neighborhood opened on 9 September 1984. Since the territory is on the alluvial sand, then zhilmassiv popularly called "The Sands".
