Owned by filmmaker Kevin Smith, himself a native of the area, the shop specializes in memorabilia and merchandise from his films "Clerks," "Mallrats," "Chasing Amy," "Dogma," "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back," "Jersey Girl," and "Clerks II."
Named for "Jay and Silent Bob," characters that have appeared in most of his films and have been established as a trademark for his work.
The store appeared in the movies "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and "Chasing Amy". It is located directly across the street from Jack's Music Shoppe, a prominent filming location in "Chasing Amy."
