Atheras is a small and beautiful village, 300 meters high from the sea,on the mountain slope, with roughly 200 residents. 2 miles along the village there is a small beautiful sandy beach with clear sea water. Thought by some to be Forcys where Odysseus was left by the Faeacians after his voyage back from his adventures.
