426 West Broadway

USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / West Broadway, 426
 store / shop, condominium

6-story residential building completed in 1884. Designed by Robert Mook as a store-and-loft building, it spans the block to Thompson Street. Both 8-bay facades are clad in red brick, with flat stone sills and lintels on the Thompson Street side, and splayed lintels with keystones on the West Broadway side. On both facades, hinges for the now-removed exterior metal shutters still remain. The ground floor has three black cast-iron piers, and there are square attic-style windows above the storefronts on Thompson. The West Broadway facade is crowned by a corbelled brick cornice. The upper floors have been converted to condominiums, while the ground level is occupied by Max Studio and M Missoni boutiques on West Broadway, and Faherty Brand clothing store on Thompson.
