Lānaʻi

USA / Hawaii / Lanai City /
 island, invisible

Lānaʻi is the sixth-largest of the Hawaiʻian Islands. It is also known as the Pineapple Island because of its past as an island-wide pineapple plantation. The only town is Lānaʻi City, a small settlement.

98% of the island is owned by Larry Ellison, who purchased it in June 2012 from Castle & Cooke (which in turn had owned Dole pineapple company). The other 2% is owned by the state of Hawaiʻi.
