A town of about 57,000 in Rushmoor, Hampshire. Farnborough derives its name from from the Anglo-Saxon settlement of Ferneberga (Fern Hill) and is mentioned in the Domesday Book (1086). It has a lot of association with the RAF: it hosts the Farnborough Air Show every two years as well as a large airfield. It stretches from (but does not include) Frimley in the north to Aldershot in the south and includes Cove to the west. Together with Aldershot it constitutes the borough of Rushmoor.
