On the east side it is called Subramaniapuram which belongs to Kundayiruppu panchayat union and on the west it is called Mathankovilpatty. Both the villages jointly are called Mathankovilpatty. Since the people are very good, there is a joy and happiness. It is a business hub for many villages. Though there are different caste/religion people, they live as people of Mathankovilpatty and of India. Anyone can go to this village and get settled. The people are very warm and affectionate. The youth from this village work in all parts of India and abroad due to good higher education. There is a 100% literacy. The streets are not properly done. Many encroachments are there. If they are removed, it will be very good to look at. Many trees have to be grown.
