The construction of the church began on October 3, 1896. It was completed in 1900. It was built of stone and brick - a three-nave basilica with a narthex. There are three Holy Thrones - the central one is dedicated to St. Nicholas of Sofia Novi, the northern one to the Holy Martyr Marina, which we celebrate on July 17, and the southern one to the Holy Martyr Catherine, which we celebrate on November 24. The fourth throne, located in the chapel of the church, is dedicated to the Rev. Petka Tarnovska, which we celebrate on October 14.
