Built in 1914 to satisfy demands of a growing student body, this building served as Mineral Wells High School until 1953, when yet another, larger building became necessary. The building would house junior high and then elementary level students until 1973, when it was abandoned by MWISD and fell into disuse. Limited renovations began in 2001, and part of the campus now serves as a community arts center.
