A great bulk of fountains and water cascades were constructed on Vazrazhdane Central Square in Pleven while reconstructing the pedestrian centre on the occasion of the 100-th anniversary of the Russo-Turkish War and the Liberation of Bulgaria 1877-1878.
The water cascades in Pleven are an water complex that has more than 1,500 m² of water-covered area with more than 10 waterfalls, fountains, 3 water mirrors, differently modeled water streams and splashes. It has been built in Pleven downtown in 1982. The complex is very beautiful during the night with its part-colored spectacular lighting.
