Initally this company was named AVB (ACC Vickers and Babcock) then it was named ABL (ACC Babcock Ltd) here ACC is Associated Cement Companies.Then ABB(Asea Brown Brovery) took over and it became ABBABL,after this ACC and Babcock left the company and it became a fully owned subsideary of ABB.Now Alstom has taken over and it is named Alstom Projects Ltd.But the township is still named after ABL.This is the oldest company in India which makes heavy duty power boilers.
