- The thin-skinned exterior is Mayan-ornamented spandrels alternating with windows, many that wrap around the building's corners.
- Built without setbacks the design signaled the approach of 1950's modernism.
- Considered one of the great office lobbies in America with its ancient world gilded Mayan Temple design and its strikingly rich exotic bas relief wall carvings.
- Gun metal grey and golden hieroglyphs accent building as highlighted in many architecture books.
- Little known fact: One of the city's five tallest buildings from the late 20's to the early 60's.
