Leipsic is a town in Kent County, Delaware, United States. It is part of the Dover, Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 203 at the 2000 census. The name of the town is derived from Leipzig, Germany due in part to that city being the fur trade center of Europe. Leipsic was once a major fur trapping center on the east coast.
