  • There have been some very serious foundation problems in this community.
  • What do you think it is causing it? Do you think it's enough to abandon the whole subdivision?
  • The man-made lake leaked a substantial amount of water into the exposed structural clays. Pressurized by the weight and volume of the lake, the permeable clay allowed the water to flow a great distance from the source, weakening the supporting soils underneath many of the homes but particularly those closest to the lake. Other than the individual foundation repairs, the fix was to drain the lake, excavate the faulty clay liner and reinstall a non permeable clay to sufficiently to hold the water. This has been completed.
