- 1 mile stretch of the Guadalupe River in Canyon Lake, TX.
Excellent tubing on the Guadalupe River. Originally called the "Horseshoe", but now called the "Horseshoe Loop" to distinguish it from all the other "Horseshoe(s)" in the world. The "Horseshoe Loop" is a unique 1 mile stretch of the Guadalupe River shaped just like a Horseshoe

It has become one of the most popular places to go "River Tubing" in Texas because of the following factors: (1) "Tubers" (individuals floating on Inner Tubes) can tube all day without the need for a shuttle service. The Horseshoe Loop begins and ends between two bridges (see Wikimapia), which is only a 5 or 6 minute walk between bridges. This means Tubers can get in the water at the top of the Horseshoe Loop at the "Entry Bridge"... float for approximately 1 hour (Note: float times may vary daily depending on River Levels and then get out of the water at the end of the Horseshoe Loop at the "Exit Bridge". The Horseshoe Loop is a very scenic float, with its banks lined with lush Bald Cypress and Pecan trees, awesome bluffs, cliffs and rock formations, and located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. The water is clean and refreshing and is the perfect way to cool off under the hot Texas sun, with temperatures soaring over 100 degrees much of the summer. Centrally located in Canyon Lake, Texas, between Austin (the Capital of Texas) and San Antonio, the Horseshoe Loop is an easy destination to access, with plenty of Lodging, Camping and RV sites nearby to support travelers and visitors alike. Guadalupe River Tubing is one of the lowest cost activities and best values available in Outdoor Recreation, with gas prices going through the roof, Texans can get a quick fun get-away in their own back yard for a fraction of the cost of Theme Parks and most vacations!
