Revillagigedo Islands

Mexico / Baja California Sur / Cabo San Lucas /
nature conservation park / area, archipelago, UNESCO World Heritage Site

This island grouping, administered by Mexico, consists of San Benedicto, Socorro, Roca Partida and Clarión. Clarión is so far to the west of the others that it is in a different time zone.

The islands have very little fresh water, and are "inhabited" by members of the Mexican Navy and their families, and a few scientists. Ecotourists usually rely on the facilities aboard their ships and visit the islands and the waters around them for short periods.
