West Sacramento is a city in Yolo County, California, USA, just west (across the river and county line) of downtown Sacramento. West Sacramento incorporated in 1987 and is made up of 3 communities that were originally distinct towns, Broderick, Bryte, and West Sacramento (originally just the community north of the port canal and south of the railroads), as well as the Southport area. West Sacramento is home to the Port of Sacramento and the only IKEA in the Central Valley.
