The Apollo Victoria Theatre ( www.apollovictoriatheatre.org ) is located in Victoria, London, and dates back to 1930 when it opened as a cinema. The building closed as a venue for film in 1975 and reopened as a theatre, basing itself on musical performances. Hosting musicals such as The Sound of Music and Starlight Express which ran for an incredible 18 years, the venue proved to be very popular for live theatre. In 2006, the musical Wicked opened at the Apollo Victoria.
