Farringdon is a London Underground and connected main line National Rail station in Clerkenwell, in the London Borough of Islington, just outside the City of London. It is located at an interchange between the Thameslink and the Circle/Metropolitan/H&C Lines of the London Underground, and was built on the original Metropolitan Railway. When Crossrail is built, an additional pair of deep levels and a new ticket hall to the south will be built.
