golf hole, historical layer / disappeared object
This was the original routing of the 12th hole at Bobby Jones. It used to be an approx. 450 yard par 5. The 2nd shot would be up to area of the current 12th green seen here. The 3rd would be a blind shot to the green over the trees and across the creek to what is now the 13th green. Then you would hope the brakes on your cart held as you made the quite steep descent to cross the creek and (hopefully) find your ball. Quite a memorable hole. Nice views of the skyline from the top of the hill. Now the 12th is a rather short par 4, and the 13th an even shorter par 3. Layout changed about 1990 or so.
