This is the Midtown area of Atlanta. It includes both a large commercial/dense residential area mainly centered along the Peachtree Street spine between Spring Street and Juniper Street (extending to Piedmont Street adjacent to Piedmont park), and the Midtown residential neighborhood, which is comprised of single family houses, condos, townhomes, and apartments.

The traditional boundary between Midtown and Downtown is North Avenue (which was the 1 mile marker from the center of downtown Atlanta), though sometimes the southern Midtown boundary is extended to Ralph McGill Drive. This extension includes the residential neighborhood of SoNo (South of North Avenue), and the northern part of Downtown that has been separated by Interstate 75/85.

Interstate 75/85 defines the western boundary of Midtown, separating the neighborhood from Georgia Tech, Home Park, Atlantic Station, and Brookhaven/Buckhead. The eastern boundary of Midtown is traditionally Piedmont Park and the future Beltline trail/transit area.
