This is a home depot home supply store. A wide variety of items can be obtained here. While convenient for the large selection, the arrival of this Home Depot several years ago upset many Meadville residents as another example of a mega-corporation store coming into a small town. Prior to the arrival of HD, Valu Home Center, a small home-town supply store, was operated in the nearby Park Avenue Plaza. Today, Valu Home Center has a difficuly time competing with Home Depot's slightly lower prices, wider selection, corporate funding, and lost business.
