Scenic Overlook on Old Highway 290

This was one of the last sections of old US 290 to be bypassed by I-10, about 1981 or so. This rest stop is usually very quiet, overlooking the Pecos Valley, the historic site of Fort Lancaster, and the town of Sheffield.
