Pilling's Pond is (actually) a human-made pond, home to ducks and related birds, various species.
It was created by Charles Pilling (died 2001) in the 1920's or so, by partially damming up the creek which runs from Linton Springs south to GreenLake. Mr Pilling was a world-known duck breeder.
