Wallingford is a neighborhood in north central Seattle, to the north of Wallingford is Green Lake, and to the south is Lake Union. Wallingford's main thoroughfare is 45th street, on which you will find many cool and places to go, such as: Wallingford Center, Golden Oldies records, Not a Number Cards and Gifts, the 2 guild 45th movie theaters and The Original Dick's Drive in. The Wallingford QFC has a sign on its roof with the neighborhood's name written in big letters. This was put up when the QFC was being built in the late 90's, replacing the much beloved Food Giant supermarket, which had, in large letters "FOOD GIANT" on its roof. Wallingford is home to many middle class families, and people attending the UW. Parks in wallingford, include the Wallingford playfield and Gasworks Park.
