Mackworth Island

The heavily forested island is accessible from mainland Falmouth, Maine, via a causeway. The Baxter School for the Deaf is located here. There's a trail that goes around the circumference of the island which is approximately one mile. Governor Baxter's Pet Cemetery (consisting of several of his dogs' bodies and his horse) and a fairy village are other stops along the trail. There are nice views of Casco Bay.
