Better known as the "Blue Cube" for its four-story windowless blue building that dominates the property.

Onizuka AFS closed September 15, 2011.
The Data Link Terminal ceased operations in June 2009, and the DISA SATCOM terminal (located on the south side of the station) and it's mission was relocated to Vandenberg Air Force Base.

  • Photo #1 shows the heavy earth terminal during a terminal upgrade. Photo #2 shows the master control room after its completion in 1961. Photo #3 shows the Blue Cube after its completion in the late '60s. The photo was taken across the street in what used to be a Lockheed Martin facility and what is now the headquarters for Ariba.
