Potštejn is the extensive ruin of a Gothic castle founded by the Drslavic family in the late 13th century. In the 16th century, it was rebuilt and enlarged by Vilém of Pernštejn; in the 17th century it was deserted. In the 18th century, Count Harbuval de Chamaré made some adjustments – the Chapel of the Holy Stairs was built, along with the Way of the Cross and the Chapel of St. Jan Nepomucký.
