Tloskov Castle

The original fort was rebuilt in 1376 as the fortified castle, which was two-stored, with a clock tower and bell over him.
Later, around 1749 it was added second floor and a garden park with a pheasantry.
In 1805 were added the two wings of the castle's main building. The castle was bought in 1872 known Czech industrialist Vincent Danek von Esse, an excellent engineer, founder of Breitfeld & Danek Machinery, later Kolben & Danek Machinery (CKD, Czech-Moravian Kolben Danek j.s.c.). In 1914 began an extensive adaptation of the main facade and the whole castle was thoroughly corrected by the proposal of the Viennese architect Egon Leuzendorf. The works continued in the years 1921 - 1923, than was added to the patio columns, the new staircase, the entrance hall and decorative gables were created. Park of the castle get an English garden character and had an area of 20 ha. Between 1923 -1924 was the park adjusted by garden architect Molnar especially in the part of front of the main castle facade .
In 1943 was in the Tloskov castle established Authority of the Military Training Area of Nazi Waffen SS
In the years 1945 - 1947 was there seated the Home of Young Workers and Inventors.
Since 1957 until November 1st, 1959 the chateau was empty, when it was assigned to social care institution for children and youth. Similar institutions are located under the title Diagnostic nursing home today. At the turn of the 21st Century had it undergone an extensive reconstructing and modernizing.
