The Pyongyang Indoor Stadium is primarily used for large political meetings and sporting events. There is a variable capacity, but the average is about 20,000. There are smaller halls for other sports and activities, such as tennis and badminton. There are also game rooms. The Indoor Stadium is a venue for various gymnastic (what the IOC floor and rhythm gymnastics) and aquasport routines synchronized to re-enact songun and juche ideas. There is a roller skating rink on the outside of the stadium which are located near an ornate fountain and sculptures of various sporting figures. There is a sub-basement level which allows DPRK leadership easy access to attend events here from the Central Committee buildings.
