Road bridge of the Donbas Defenders (Kamensk-Shakhtinsky)

The old bridge was constructed in 1966.
Overhauled in 1999.
Opened after revamp in 2002 when the second bridge crossing was constructed in parallel to the old one.
Length 387 m, abutment height 20 m.

Due to the formation of cracks in the span of the bridge (with the pylon tilted), traffic on this half has been blocked since April 9, 2019. The second (new) half of the bridge is reversible. The dismantling work was carried out by the state company Avtodor.

A federal pontoon crossing was constructed for the duration of the work, and then a temporary road bridge.
The old bridge structure will be completely demolished.

Dismantling of the bridge actually began on July 12, 2022.
