Formerly the Oregon and Washington Station, now known as Union Station, it was completed in 1911,
and opened on May 20 amidst great fanfare. This was Union Pacific's Seattle Station, competing with
Great Northern and Northern Pacific's King Street Station next door.
The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad also used Union Station until 1961.
