Beacon Hill has a very Asian flavor to it. Many immigrants make it an unique district
with a lot of little eateries that tempt the palate. Some of the best views of downtown
Seattle can be seen from the western edge of Beacon Hill.

  • Right where Beacon Ave, 15th, 14th, and Holgate converge, there are two gas stations; a Union 76, and Shell, which used to be a Texaco. Back then, the Union 76 used to be a Texaco as well. When the Shell station used to be a Texaco, they had the best late night fried food, fight-a-hang-over food. My favorite was the gizzards. Then, there's Java Love. I hope it sticks. The neighborhood needs something like that. There are also hookers, who can often be seen fighting with their pimps. The guy with the jerry curls is funny when he starts arguing. I can't think of any other place in the city where you can hear roosters, goats, mariachi music, hip-hop blaring from hoopties slow-rolling, and low-flying jets while taking in the intoxicating scents of food being cooked in ginger, garlic, soy-sauce, sesame and purple chronic.
