  • According to a person I know who is a city planner, White Center and the northern part of this area is probably going to go to Seattle, and the southern part to Burien. The Seattle Police Department would like for White Center to be annexed into the city due to the fact that the area has high crime rates and often criminal activity from White Center spreads into the Southern West Seattle/Highland Park area, and vice versa. Only residents of the unincorporated area will vote on the matter of annexation, it is exepected that there will be a low voter turnout due to the fact that many of the area's residents are immigrants that are new to the area and may not have an opinion one way or another just yet. All of this is of course speculation, which is why I'm writing this in the form of a comment.
