Built in 1914 by architect Franz Buertmes for Breckner General Store.
It is the first building on the current territory of Romania built with the destination of a shopping center.
During the communist period, it functioned as the Universal Store (since 1954), then transformed into Bucuria Copiilor (Children's Joy) Store (since 1979). Between 1994 and 2011 it functioned as a bank headquarters. From 2011 until 2019 there was a Zara store in the building, from 2021 the whole building houses Restaurant Fain.
